Resources

Our work includes executing leading practices, shaping public policy, advancing the prospects of parents and families, supporting our child support staff, delivering superior customer service, and providing our citizens a good value for their tax dollars. We share ideas and resources with each other.

WHAT IS IV-D?

The term IV-D comes from the Title IV Section D of the Social Security Act, which established the Child Support Enforcement program in 1975. A Child Support IV-D case is opened for all public assistance cases involving children not living with one or both parents, known as noncustodial parents, to locate, establish paternity, establish and enforce child support obligations, and collect, distribute, and disburse support payments.
