| Where-Norfolk Virginia Hotel- Hilton Main When- May 12-16, 2018Dear IV-D Directors: On-line registration is now open for the 2018 Annual Conference of the National Council of Child Support Directors (NCCSD) in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 13-16, 2018. This year’s conference theme is Child Support: A Safe Harbor for the Future. https://nccsd2018norfolk.eventbee.com If you’ve never been to the historic port city of Norfolk (pronounced “Naw-fok”), you’re in for a treat. Norfolk is bustling with fun, vibrant entertainment and culture, unique shopping, and world-class cuisine. There’s something for everyone! Take in a baseball game at Harbor Park, home to the Norfolk Tides; explore the MacArthur Memorial, dedicated to US Army General Douglas MacArthur; shop at the MacArthur Center, a three-story mall filled with shops, restaurants, and breweries; browse at the Chrysler Museum of Art; or stroll along the waterfront and take a selfie with a mermaid. The conference will take place at Hilton Norfolk The Main, the city’s newest luxury hotel. If you haven’t already done so, please book your hotel room as explained on the conference registration page. The conference will kick off on Sunday, May 13, at 12:00pm EST with a meeting of the state IV-D directors (lunch will be provided). The conference will open to all attendees with a reception from 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday evening (conference registration includes admission for one). On Monday night, we’ll have a social and dinner at Nauticus, Norfolk’s science and technology museum (conference registration includes admission for one). Nauticus features interactive maritime history and science exhibits and is home to the USS Wisconsin, which was in service from World War II through the Persian Gulf War and is one of the largest and last battleships built by the US Navy. The conference will conclude on Wednesday at 1:00 pm. The registration fee for directors is $400, even if you are not able to register until after the early-bird deadline for other attendees.
